Most of us do. In fact, 44 percent of Americans report feeling more stressed now than they did five years ago.
From work-related stress to financial stress to relationship stress—we’re all surrounded by stressful situations! And sometimes we may even feel stressed just because someone near us is expressing their feelings of stress!
Is there a silver lining to this cloud? (We’re sure you know what’s coming!)
Of course there is: and that’s the fact that stress management is a powerful topic for your insurance social media.
- Do you sell life or health insurance? Then posts about the negative health impacts of stress are a natural fit for your social media marketing. Stress management tips are great, too.
- Do you sell auto, motorcycle, or RV insurance? Focus your stress-related posts on road rage. You can post statistics about the negative impact of road rage, as well as tips on how to prevent stress from getting the better of you behind the wheel.
- Focus on homeowners insurance? Try a series of tips on relaxing activities around the house (for instance, the psychological benefits of gardening).
It’s easy to customize stress-management tips for the industries that you focus on for your commercial lines. For instance, if you’re posting about breathing exercises, you can explain that those exercises are great for everyone, “but could be especially beneficial for [insert industry here].”
You may also be able to find stats specific to some of the industries you work with the most. You could also post more generally about the most stressful industries.
Stress is something that most of us try to avoid, but for your social media marketing, it could be the gift that keeps on giving. Why not take it for a test spin as a topic this month?
